WLAN Mesh Network
|
|
|
CityLink
offers an advanced wireless, 2-way, self-organizing, self-healing, ad-hoc mesh network
technology to our customers. Mulitiple tag owners create their own wireless local
area network (WLAN) that is not dependent on cell or satellite signals, or any external
energy source. An advanced antenna supplies a secure signal, while longevity is supplied
by a battery with a 6-15 year life. Users may link up to a larger WLAN if such is available
in their area.

text message, activate a security camera, and much more. Since our tags are actually
microprocessors, they can be programmed for specific functions. They have a high data

Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN)
An area is set up with
CityLink
tags and married up with an aerial map of the property. This area is now a WLAN.
All tags, whether mobile or static, can now be located, tracked, and communicated with.
Each tag is given a unique identification number and programmed for its specific funciton.
The WLAN operator can then access information about an indivual tag and the system it supports.
For example, if the tag is interfaced with HVAC monitoring sensors, all control
and operating conditions are easily available to the operator. This includes reviewing
temperature, humidity and on/off conditions, and starting or shutting off the HVAC unit.
